Step Three: Come to Meetings!
Decisions are made by those who show up. So show up! Meetings will be held every Thursday (starting Sept. 10th) at 7pm in Sargent College (635 Comm Ave.) Room 102. We will be hosting speakers and holding discussions on various topics of Democratic interest. Don’t forget to check out our
Calendar for special events and activities.
Periodically throughout the semester we will also be holding open Executive Board meetings. Attending an Executive Board meeting is a great way to further your involvement in the club, be it through helping us decide what direction BUCD should take or to learn about how the Executive Board functions. Open meetings will be Sundays at 7pm, dates and place TBA.
Step Four: Join the Executive Board!
Every April we hold elections for the offices of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Communications Director, and Campaign Relations Director. We will discuss the process of joining the EBoard more during the Spring Semester, but feel free to contact us with any questions.
We also have three Freshmen Representative positions on the Executive Board that we fill every fall. Elections for these positions will be held early on in the Fall Semester (within the first two or three meetings) so that our new EBoard members can get right to work. Freshmen Representatives are a vital part of BUCD and a great way for freshmen to get involved with the club!
While these are the only currently available positions on Executive Board, we are always looking for enthusiastic people who are willing to work hard and bring something new to BUCD. Members who show particular dedication to the club have the opportunity to be appointed to the Executive Board.
